Lautaro Figueroa Balcarce is a composer from Argentina, born in Buenos Aires in 1995. He obtained his degree in composition at the National University of Arts [U.N.A.] in Argentina under the guidance of Santiago Santero and studied privately with Luis Mucillo. He later completed a master's degree in composition at the Hochschule der Künste Bern [HKB] in Switzerland, where he studied with Simon Steen-Andersen and Xavier Dayer.

His music has been performed in various venues across Argentina, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, including The National Opera America Center, Maison de l'Argentine in Paris, UMass Amherst, Zentrum Paul Klee, La Biblioteca Nacional Argentina, and El Centro Cultural San Martín. These performances have been brought to life by renowned performers such as Mivos Quartet, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Le Concert Idéal, Odile Auboin, Spółdzielnia Muzyczna, Unheard-of Ensemble, and many others.

His distinctions include three grants from the Mozarteum Argentino, winning the composition competition organized by ESTA Switzerland for its 50th anniversary, the 'Music Current Commission for 2024' from Dublin Sound Lab, and the SISSPROJECT 2025 Composition Award in the 'Young Pioneers' category.
